Taken at Aya Revolution (AyaCon '09) - Warwick Arts Centre - August 2009

He's back! And in a studio. Having never done studio work before, and all of the supplied lighting kit giving me the middle finger I was reduced to having a plain white background, and only my two cheapy flashguns. Shadows aplenty! So I opted to play around with coloured gels on a rear flash to cover things up.

Results were.. variable. Some of them came out lovely in an experimental way, but not quite what was needed being that they were to be photos for official capacity Plenty of problems with shadows front and back, mistimings, misfirings, etc etc. but I like this one. It's flamey.

Diffused plain flash above and to the left of the lens on a mounted bracket, directed slightly above eye line, bounced off the ceiling and out through the diffuser, and a red-gelled flash in the lower right corner pointed at the center of the white backdrop.
